Go fuck yourself Aussie. Annie and Neferti don't deserve the crap they get from you.Aussie wrote:Get off the bloody suck-hole fence Annie! Most of what Nappy said was crap, and especially the 'trailer' comment, and the totally ignorant attack on building standards. She has no idea, and I reckon you share that idea.Actually, most of what Nef is saying in this post is true, but too generalized.
The place was knocked out by Nature, people died, property destroyed, lives ruined, a local economy lost....and all you can come up with is support for a retard you have previously ridiculed, and thrown shit upon. Your quest to be 'Everyman' is Quixotic.

Those 2 Oklahoma senators who repeatedly opposed disaster relief funding should be tossed out in the next election. But ordinary Americans vote against their own interests so it wouldn't surprise me if they remained in office.

Depends on what disaster relief they opposed. Was it like the the Nawleans stadium relief centre where if a Maccas stand wasn't set up there would be hell to pay?AiA in Atlanta wrote:Those 2 Oklahoma senators who repeatedly opposed disaster relief funding should be tossed out in the next election. I doubt it will be on the same scale as Nawleans and I bet there will be a bigger sense of community help available rather than a reliance on "whenz the fucking bus gonna getz me ta ma new homes bro"AiA in Atlanta wrote:I do. Re: Oklahoma tornado
I hope these guys are still not in power.
Aussie, it appears the issue of building codes as a real issue. I hope you have the heart to apologise to Annie and Nef.
Rep. John Enns, R-Enid, does not believe in a state building code on private property. He said public buildings like schools should be well built to protect the students, but telling a homeowner they must have a storm cellar or safe room is too intrusive.

If their family is still alive, and their homes still standing, I'd say they're in a pretty good situation (unsurprisingly).

Politically they are in a tough situation (tornadoes seldom damage the houses of the wealthy). If they ask Washington for money they are fucked. If they don't ask, they are fucked.boxy wrote:If their family is still alive, and their homes still standing, I'd say they're in a pretty good situation (unsurprisingly).
