I'm a (predominately) wool sheep farmer, in case any of you hadn't got the memo. Not a "greenie", per se, although well convinced of the benefits of a more sustainable system than what seems natural to follow (from a pure profit motive).
As to animal welfare, I have seen what the PETA mob have wrought on animals, through their ignorant "blood is bad" mentality. I distrust the whole animal welfare industry, as a result.

Yes you are right, I just never thought they considered insect "by products" in their "exclusion zone" so to speak.

Vegans are extremists, and are probably kidding themselves, if they think they can live any type of normal modern life without any animal products.

Yes indeed Vegan fundamentalists and Veg nazis are extremists, and completely untrustworthy.boxy wrote:Vegans are extremists, and are probably kidding themselves, if they think they can live any type of normal modern life without any animal products.
Vegos imagine we can get by without animal products. Fact is this would require vastly more petro-chemical fertilisers from ever more expensive crude oil, and more water consumption than we probably have access to.
I've had a fair bit to do with vegos over the years, and used to think it was the zinc, iodine, iron and vitamin B defficiencies causing their mental defectiveness and in turn their dishonesty.
Make no mistake, sooner or later vegos will weird out on you and cause dramas.
These days I've come to the conclusion that dishonest individuals are drawn to such irrationalities because they've already weirded out.

I am NOT a Vegan ... nor a vegetarian. Or even think I come under that umbrella. I usually eat whatever. It was an "experiment" on MY part to cut out certain foods for 6 months.
My GP carried on about my Cholesterol being "high". He's a smartarse (but I like him) ... I had the most amusing visit to him this morning.
The conversation went something like:
GP: So what can I do for you today?
Me: You told me to come back in November>
GP: Gosh, it is November, what a surprise?
Me: Well if you read the file, it was to do with my Cholesterol .... which I think is "normal" for me, but you think should be lower.
GP: Ah, right. Did you have breakfast?
Me: Huh? Yes a coffee and slice of toast.
GP: Right, I will have to prick your finger to get some blood to take a reading for your cholesterol.
Me: Huh?
GP unpacks the Brand New Technical Item and for the next 15 minutes had me in stitches ...... with comments like "this should work" ... "Oh, it's in Spanish, I can't read Spanish" .... "nor Greek". My finger is pricked .... twice. GP still can't work out how to operate this "remote control" sized thingie. Eventually gives up and prints out a paper for the local Pathology for "blood work". It must have been the MOST amusing 20 minutes I have spent for ages.
Oh, he does Bulk Bill.

Yesterday, you said:
Now, you say:
(My bolds, my italics.)Are you a Vegie?
I have been, more-or-less for the last 6 months to prove a point about my cholesterol level. No cream or dairy products, no red meat, just Inghams "chicken breasts" and some Atlantic salmon or whatever. Lots of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. LOL
Now, you say:
Naffy, at PA, it is a very good idea to be consistent. No-one can protect you from what you, yourself say.I am NOT a Vegan ... nor a vegetarian. Or even think I come under that umbrella.

Don't count on her being consistent - although it would be a novelty if she ever posted on topic.Aussie wrote:Yesterday, you said:

AnimalMother..................what are you going to do now? There you have Naffy making a none too subtle obnoxious comment concerning a Member.
If I put it in the Quotes Thread, would that be me stalking Naffy, or me merely quoting her?
