Mantra,

I believe that the RSPCA have "cat traps" they will give/hire out to trap mother cats with newborn kittens. Give your local RSPCA a call. Trapping a feral/local feline nuisance can't be any different.

ROFLMAO I was trying to be useful. Why Mantra attracts feral animals I can't imagine. I see no stray cats around my area.

Stop feeding the STRAY animals, Mantra.

I rang the council and they said you had to buy or rent the traps. But I didn't check the RSPCA. Let me know how it goes.

I have sent 3 cats off to the pound. The last one is a bit wiser unfortunately.

Yes - I have to toughen up Neferti. The hand that feeds them has gotten bitten too many times.

I wasn't suggesting that you "toughen up", Mantra. I am an animal/bird lover too. I used to put out seed for the parrots but that attracted neighbourhood cats. Bloody things. A wet tennis ball thrown (accurately and obviously making contact)at a cat is supposed to scare them off (according to a neighbour). Never tried it. My bowling arm isn't that good. I just grab the hose and squirt them. Cat's hate water.

skippy.

You can buy a sling shot from" under the counter" at most market toy stalls. They work great with marbles. though you might be able to buy them over the counter in Canberra, nef.

Canberra is slightly more sophisticated than Nimbin, Skip. ;) I don't have a cat problem. your mate, Mantra does, why don't you offer her the advice?
