I think Mods should be named before the election. Why after the election they may be changed it's happened before as you said. It's a pointless exercise and just leads to more shitfights.

This is a tiny forum. There are the same few who continually want to foment dissent, the same few who just want to argue, the same few who want the place, as it is today, to improve and the same few who help to keep it alive.

Even though it has evolved/devolved and probably doesn't resemble the 'original', the fact that the Admin team has always been transparent and out in the open would be a hard thing to change. Recently a new Mod snuck in and the outcome was a disaster.

We are talking about a small handful of people, not hundreds (or even dozens) who participate.

I know they can be changed and I personally think the idea is a bit silly. But, this is a tiny forum with only a few regulars and the last time a new Mod snuck in it only took a few hours for it to turn to jelly. Too much bias between so few members and it always shows if we know who they are or not. If we don't know who they are we can figure it out soon enough.

Being there are so few who participate here, and thinking about the debacle that erupted last time, I would like the opportunity to make an informed choice about whether I would like to stay on ... or not. I don't expect this on other sites but the other sites I visit are not run like this site.
