I expect you to have not have "bubs" that are 2 years old when you already posted you already had "bubs" 2 years ago.

And they're bubs in my eyes.
Have you got a problem with that? If so...tough.
Obviously.
You expect me to reveal their birth dates?

Wrong.lisa jones wrote:For those who clearly never went anywhere near a uni except to Google it online......ie Wayne te Wanker......
YOU CANNOT GET INTO ANY UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERING DEGREE ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED AND PASSED ADVANCED HSC MATHS FIRST.
THIS IS FOR ENTRY INTO A 1ST YEAR UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERING DEGREE.

On of mine is doing Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering. I was good at maths at school but I have NO clue about the maths he is doing!Lord Sir BigVic VSD and Bar wrote:For God's sake we all know the entry requirements for Uni Love. My Batchelor of Engineering was YEARS ago, mid 70s in actual fact and gained through the Defence Forces in association with the Institute of Engineers. My current studies are through Defence (ADFA) in association with the University of NSW who have a campus on ADFA grounds. You would also be aware these days that although mathematics is one of the seven core competencies, under competency based and current university policy - in engineering anyhow - you only need to have the level of a subject as a core pre-requisite for the next - Mathematics can be done LAST if that's the way it pans out. Crikey, that changed in 1992 under Keating - at your age I thought you would now that! Perhaps you should ask "the twins" when they come home from Uni in the 4WD you and your forensic accountant hubby bought for them to attend their many degrees at prestigious schools

I'm pretty good at maths but nowadays have no clue on calculus or matrix transformations.
I do think I could pick them up quickly again but would need to start at the beginning again.
The tests on facebook only require knowledge on the basics precedence rules.

In any event, I know I'm correct.
I started off doing a Bachelor of Engineering myself.
I could not get into the undergraduate engineering degree program at any university in NSW unless I had 4 units of HSC maths under my belt (which is the max no of units anyone can take) AND I had to be in the top 20 percentile band.
I suffered with the BE degree for an entire session on a/c of being ogled in lectures and tutorials by testosterone filled teenage boys all around me.
I then made the switch to Arts/Law.
Now bugger off.

You need to know advanced calculus, complex analysis etc.Super Nova wrote:I'm pretty good at maths but nowadays have no clue on calculus or matrix transformations.

Re Matrices? We covered that in the 1st 2 lectures of 1st yr. It was mainly revision.
You needed to know it already at HSC level.
And no lecturer slowed down for the clueless/needy.
You kept up or you changed your degree.
They were your 2 options if you were studying Engineering at Uni.

Well you are wrong and if you had 1/4 of the degrees you purport to have you would be at least 150 years old.lisa jones wrote:Excuse me...I thought you didn't read my posts.
