Abortion is killing--unless via the morning-after drug--but soldiers get a free ride.

So, hey, let us ban abortions!

Ummm no, cannot do that, backyard abortionists are just itching to do dangerous (to others, not the backyard abortionist) to desperate women! Meanwhile, flyboys drop nuclear weapons, napalm, clusterbombs with a clear conscience.

Froges, some dishonesty going on!

Is a bloke a killer for using a condom? Yes/No
Is a woman a killer for taking the morning-after pill? Most foetuses miscarry, only a few make it to full term you know. Yes/No

Is a soldier in an artillery battery a killer if the shells he fires lands and explodes so far away the curvature of the earth etc hides where the shell lands. Add ICBM missiles sent over the fucking north pole (either way) Yes/No

I think soldiers have a background of training and conditioning that enables them to RATIONALISE AWAY the act of killing. Women, sometimes as we have agreed pressured into having an abortion (and here maybe the father of the foetus is the real killer?) do not have this training/indoctrination.

Not every union of egg and sperm results in a viable foetus that goes to term: so I think the morning-after pill is not killing, esp as it cannot be known whether fertilisation took place.

Women using abortion as birth control kill.

There are so many grey areas here!

JW, I would love to see some proof of military service b4 i take your argument any further.

Very well said Monk.

That's the problem with Frogen - he makes these senseless and inaccurate attacks on people, but won't answer a single question himself.

Well that only took 20 pages.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You admit abortion is killing.

I have never advocated banning it under current law (you may want to learn how to read?), so finally we are getting some where.

Nor have I said soldiers don't kill. (That reading thing again!!!! Oh my.)

Who says you can't not teach old ideologue new ideas?

Yeah

Some women visiting abortion clinics kill, often kill quite casually. Soldiers on active duty kill, some perform atrocities (Abu Grei?). Someone driving taking his eyes off the road for more than a second kills if his inattention causes a fatal road accident.

Doctors sometimes kill, through tiredness, sometimes through negligence (and boy does that hang by a thread!)

Not black and white!

So, "soldier boy" how abouts answering some of my yes/no questions?

Backyard abortionists often kill the mother as well.

Soldiers do sometimes commit atrocities.

You asked a question i do not think you are capable of answering.

This is beginning to really piss me off. You newbies pretend to challenge the background of a poster you have known for mere months, one whose PA credentials are beyond question to someone like me.

Frogen, more often than not, generally bags the crap out of me on many issues, especially on matters moderation, so my comments re JW cannot be shrugged off as those of a closely bonded ally.

Monk, show some common courtesy and due reservation concerning Forum behaviour, and maybe then I'll give you a mere modicum of the respect I have for Frogen's credibility.

He is what he says he is, hopeless drunk included.

Deal with him on that basis.
