Reminds me of a book I was reading in my late teens/20s (fucked if I remember exactly). Wasn't exactly a prono novel, more anarchic. A post apocolyptic setting (no reason given) where people just were. Seemed that most survivors where quite insane, and just existed for the moment. Quite confronting, in parts. Strange thing is, I was listening to some strange "monk" type music at the time (it was quite popular at the time, strangely enough), and now, any time I hear it (or something like it) it takes me back to that "place".
