The english house debacle demands that intelligent folk (which does not include Aussie) demand a bit more than your say so.
There was no debacle. Just Mattus getting excited over bugger all, which led to the anti Frogen brigade jumping onto a what they thought was a good thing, but it was a complete fizzer! So, maybe I was wrong, yes, there was a debacle involving idiots, not excluding you Roger, frothing and falling over themselves trying to get a piece, where there was nothing but thin air.

No person conversant with real history will state that the Bush Administration lied; they will state they were wrong. (Thought the Kay Report, from the Iraqi Survey group, the definitive study that determined Iraq had no WMD determined Saddam was determined to get them again and invade Kuwait, so the subject is really semantic, not strategic.)

At the end of the day, whats the difference? And so what if Saddam wanted WMD but they had no WMD. The world was told that Iraq definitely had WMD. Now whos talking in semantics. Plus there is something slightly iffy about your military record.

The world was told they had WMD because the world's intel agencies believed they had WMD.

They believed it because Iraq refuse to comply with a simple inspection regime, even after 1441 that would have proved it one way or the other.

As to future desires to reconstitute WMD and invade Kuwait, tell any Kuwaiti, "so what."

As to my military record, compared to Scorpy I feel like I am George Patton or Alexander the Great.

That's untrue. Saddam co-operated albeit reluctantly in nearly every request for an inspection over many years. In fact it was the US who decided to withdraw their inspectors in 1998, but later when they demanded more intrusive inspections - Iraq co-operated. Saddam submitted a 12,000 page declaration claiming they had no WMD programs and would not initiate any in the future.

The US chose not to believe the declaration, regardless of the UN Inspectors finding nothing because they needed an excuse to invade Iraq. After all - Iraq had changed to the euro which would have devastating consequences for the US oil trade and their economy (which is stuffed anyway). The invasion of Iraq was planned before 9/11 - finding an excuse was the problem.

Saddam did not comply, Hans Blix reported in his December report Iraq filed a false weapons declaration, this after 1441, his final chance.

Saddam violated over 12 UN resolutions for over a decade and his cease-fire agreement almost from the start (he never told the Kuwaitis who Saddam’s forces disappeared where they were, ever.)

Defending Saddam is like claiming Michael Jackson should become the UNICEF Children’s reprehensive for all time.

Still shouting about 1441, eh.

The document that stated that Iraqi sovereignty should have still be respected by all member nations, and gave no ultimatum about the US "going in".

Indeed it did, final chance.

I do know with the UN and the Left everywhere there is no such thing with as a final chance with a tyrant, you love dancing with them so, but Bush, thankfully means what he says.

WMDs! Kill, kill, kill!

Yep, meant that, in spades.

Indeed they do, the biggest WMD being the Saddam you would have left Iraqis to die under.

You can chant peace all you want, just as long as you are at peace and they die.
