Hmmm peaches oh-so nearly ripe! Fresh peaches, peach butter yummmmm
And the tree is very well netted! Fucking birds! I wouldn't mind if they got 5-10% But they will bite 10 different fruits rather than sit there and just eat one
Although with pears (must be different birds) they will sit on the twig pear is hanging from and it right out leaving just the core hanging on the tree ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Some caterpillar been destroying leaves on my sweetcorn! They will be sorry!

You're garden looks so healthy Monk with all the fruit and vegetables you grow. I have a peach tree, but the peaches never get past being green and hard - so now it's just a tree with no particular function.
I also have an avocado tree that gave beautiful fruit for a couple of years - now there's nothing. I don't think I kept the water up to it - even though it looks healthy. It might also be because the mulberry tree is so huge it drowns out most of the light. The avocado tree has grown very tall so the top of it gets light, but I suppose it needs it all over.
There's a huge strawberry tree as well - I've always hacked it back, but didn't bother last year and after it flowered - I noticed dozens of lorikeets pecking away at it and low and behold there was heaps of fruit - well the remains anyway.
Any tips on what to do with a peach tree where the fruit doesn't ripen, an avocado tree which has stopped fruiting and what would you do with the fruit of a Strawberry tree - it's so little.
That plant that I asked about - you said it was a Bay Laurel - it's not that. It's some sort of fruit/nut tree. It's not big, but the berries do look tasty. Maybe one day I'll test them on sometime I'm not fond of to see whether they're edible.

Re: Summer, season of heat and instant fruitfulness
Mulberry trees do tend to dominate the garden. I suggest getting rid of it unless you just larve [Spelling Nazi go home: deliberate misspelling
] mulberries.
Citrus can be right buggers too: send out shallow roots in all directions robbing water & nutrients from lawn, vegy or flower bed etc.
Run a weepy hose around the peach tree, spread manure & compost, blood & bone, mulch deeply (but NOT up to the trunk) and give it what water you are allowed to every 2-3 weeks
