It may help you understand why 60 + 1 does not equal 67.

The only thing Tostee did wrong was seek sex via a dating app, hardly a crime though.
Tostee should never have been charged in the first place.
She (the Kiwi nut job) assaulted him and stole his wallet.
She chose death by climbing off that balcony.
He should have pushed her.
Everyone involved in Tostee's persecution should be charged with Malicious Prosecution.
If I had been in his position, I'd have dragged her to the street by the hair and left her bleeding in the gutter.

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

The prosecution and trial of Gable Tostee is just another example of men being held responsible for women's actions. Women don't want equality, they want to be protected like a child.

Maybe he knew that she was drunk enough to tumble off the balcony without his help? I do know there are two sides to a lot of domestic violence incidents. Regardless of how irritating a female is - does she deserve to be beaten up or killed. A male is usually physically stronger and too many of them have anger problems which they do nothing about.Outlaw Yogi wrote:The only thing Tostee did wrong was seek sex via a dating app, hardly a crime though.

The government has to make an example of people for a while until the public believes these new laws are working effectively. Tostee should have thrown her out the front door, but he was too drunk to think rationally obviously.Everyone involved in Tostee's persecution should be charged with Malicious Prosecution.

I am not sure where your reasoning comes from mantra...
you are basically saying she went to his flat..... she deserves what she got...
he can always claim.. she started it.. shes dead .. who can argue with him..
you have someone saying they would have dragged her to the kerb and left her to bleed in the gutter.
that happens to be DOMESTIC VIOLENCE...
and you say its the GOVTS job to fix that.,.
if I was a mod here I would be asking WHY is this person allowed to spew his violence on pa....
even pa must have a limit surely???..

Cods - I'm not saying she deserved that. She didn't. He got off because he had recorded a good part of the night. Whatever mistakes he made - he proved himself innocent to a judge and jury. The law isn't always fair - terrible people don't get punished for many reasons. Firstly - if there's a good chance that they won't offend again - that goes in their favour. Secondly our jails are seriously overcrowded and it's expensive keeping people in prison.
Too much alcohol and sex often result in violence. It's a risk everyone takes when they indulge in these activities with strangers. No matter how many laws are in place - this can't be prevented unless we ban alcohol.

Out of interest, did he record the "heavy breathing" bit? Or just afterwards when she threw a few tiny white pebbles across the room and "bashed" him with the "metal object"?mantra wrote:Cods - I'm not saying she deserved that. She didn't. He should have let her walk out his front door when she originally asked. No, he shoved her onto his balcony and bolted the door. He was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO frightened of her and that metal object/rocks. Christ, what a poof.
In any event, this Tinder "hook up for FREE SEX with a stranger" is likely to cause more heartache. One night stands has been around since the year dot, most don't end with people falling off balconies on the Gold Coast. Some people fall off balconies in Sydney though and, luckily there was a CCTV or whatever to prove she was pushed!
