Re: The Weather
SUMMER has arrived! Starting to heat up here in Canberra and I have the air conditioning on at the moment. Currently it is, apparently, 31C with only 38% humidity ... so there is no rain about. It is getting down to about 15C at night now ....
How is it where you live? Unbearable yet?

My fever is currently just under 39 degrees.
Apparently it's humid.
All I know is that I'm hot and cold. Panadol Rapid and lemonade every 4 hrs is helping. Kinda sorta

You have no idea how much I crave menopause. I'm tired of the revolting monthly crime scenes I experience esp in the shower and toilet. Sorry...but that's exactly what it looks like and why I have bleach located everywhere.Neferti~ wrote:Maybe "hot flushes"? I went through it at 46.
Wish Mum was still around so I could have a chat to her about menopause.
She was 59 when she went through it. I don't recall her having an incessant fever. Sure she had flushes...these sudden sweats and boy did she have the cranks lol.
I'm not sweating. I do have the cranks though. But that's because I hate being sick. Really hate it

Get some Ginger root and cook into food or brew it in a drink and it will stomp your flu within 2 days.lisa jones wrote:Oh it's unbearable here.Neferti~ wrote:SUMMER has arrived! Ginger id anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal, so does the lot.
Garlic helps a bit (contains selenium - good for getting rid of toxins) but if you use it alot, it won't work after about 3 years of use.
Echinacea ... when I first tried I thought was a wonder drug. Worked fast. But after time no longer worked .. bit like Garlic.
Note: Use of Echinacea for more than 6 weeks at a time can damage the immune system.
So Doctor Snake Charmer's advice it top up on fruit juice for vitamin C and bomb the flu with Ginger.
EDIT ADDITION: I often put ginger in my coffee. If you can't handle the spiciness of it, sweeten with honey.
Indians (and copied by feral hippies) often brew a tea from ginger called "Chai" to ward off colds/flu.
Although feral hippies tend to adulterate and over-power it with cardamom (strong taste).
Cardamom is supposedly an anti-depressant so the ferals bomb their chai with it because they're all so depressed.
Ginger also prevent stomach complaints. Dive boats use it to prevent motion sickness in dive tourists.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
