Re: Global cooling
I don’t think any countries are experiencing cooling.
Most glaciers are in retreat but a few in just the right position are growing—the higher moisture content of the atmosphere means they get more precipitation—see what I said about Antarctica. The usual exception that proves the rule.
Russia gets heatwaves now!

From the UK met office website:
This years northern hemisphere summer was one of the hottest on record.

The widespread deployment of scientific weather instruments over the last century means we can now reliably measure where, and how large, recent changes in climate have been.

Climate Monitoring
There's a wide range of evidence which indicates our climate is warming:
Increasing temperatures at the surface, above the surface, and in the depths of the ocean
Changes in rainfall patterns
Changes in nature
Sea-level rise
Melting glaciers
Reduction in Arctic sea-ice
Shrinking ice-sheets
Increasing temperatures
We know from global temperature records that the Earth has warmed by about 0.75°C in the last century. From the 1970s to 1990s warming was faster than over the century as a whole, but the rise has slowed more recently.

No warming for 16 years.

Re: Global cooling
There appears to be as much "evidence" out there about global cooling as there is about global warming. We are definitely experiencing rapid climate change and we need to adapt, but many people can't afford to. Still - deprivation might be a solution to reducing the planet's population.Jovial Monk wrote:I don’t think any countries are experiencing cooling.
