Is Eddie Fisher still alive?
Apparently Zsa Zsa Gabor's adopted son, Oliver Prinz von Anhalt, has also died from a car crash on the same day she died. Strange coincidence?
It has been one hell of a year for deaths of celebrities!

I am surprised that there are several Hollywood Actors still alive at 100! I have absolutely no desire to live to that age, do you?
We are waiting for the other shoe to drop ....

It depends what age you are!
When you get to 85, 90 sounds good!
At 90, 95 sounds a good aim!

nah a 100 never when the docs talk about extending age to 120.. I think for gods sakes what for??.
no one wants us...we cost a fortune in nursing...unless you are playing tennis or travelling the world..
whats the point?.....I cant think of anything worse..
the only reason I put up with the age I am now is because I am independent...when that goes.. I hope I go.

I don't want to live past the the point where I lose my independence and I never want to be a burden. There comes a point where we all need to give in and just let go.
I know it sounds harsh but they keep too many 'vegetables' alive in nursing homes.

Indeed they do. My Mother died at 75 after a heart attack ... her sisters live on in their 90s ... she never smoked nor had an alcoholic drink. She would NEVER have been a good "patient" ... I found her extremely demanding that last Christmas when she wouldn't acknowledge anyone or get out of her bed .......... I had other stuff going on, so I was very flippant with Mum. My sisters weren't there. She died 2 January (I think) ... funeral was 6 January. Her GP was there and told me that "all she needed was a triple bypass" ... my response ... I'll leave that up to your imagination.Black Orchid wrote:I don't want to live past the the point where I lose my independence and I never want to be a burden.
