Lol...
Darn. What am I going to do if I can't have an informal natter with you sometimes Mel? How's your daughter's foot?

PM's are good for a bit of chit chat. Most members generally can be trusted, but you're right - occasionally you'll say something you don't want repeated and it is.

Her foots healing nicely Mantra, it's still got a partial tear, but the wall of the tendon has thickened and it's fused together.

No sports for quite a while though, ... because if she injures it again, and it splits back open, the scar tissue wont fuse so it will be guaranteed surgery.

And anyway, hows yours going Mantra... have you been behaving yourself, keeping off it?

No I haven't been keeping off it. It's too hard. I went out on Wednesday and got caught in the rain and the plaster ended up in a soggy mess, so I patched it up myself with masking tape & cardboard. My son visited, freaked out and nagged me to go back and get it replastered - which I haven't done yet. I'll see what the doctor says next week - but I'm counting on it being taken off. :?

A thicker tendon is good news isn't it? Surely it means it's gotten stronger?

Re- stronger, I hope so... she just has to be careful to ensure it doesn't split twice, for the next few months anyway.

You are a maniac Mantra... you should go and have the thing re-set ...just call around to medical centres who have a plaster clinic, just explain what happened, take the one that fell off with you and request a replacement.

Lol...Em ended up having 4 casts in 7 weeks... I reckon she was breaking the garbage bags open in the shower on purpose, getting them wet so she could go back have it removed hoping they would say...it's ok, no need for another cast.,...ha ha ha... but they just kept replacing it.

:)....

She loved her cast for the first week, thought it was cool.... then came a sense of resolve, between weeks 2 and 4, which gave way to her finding any excuse possible to warrant the early removal of her cast in the last few weeks.

The itching was driving her mad, thank god it wasn' summer, it would have been a nightmare keeping it on her for several weeks.

Summer casts stink like road-kill.... so if you want to beat the stench Mantra, I suggest you have it replaced sooner than later eh?!!?

Theres a good manty, stop being such a horrible patient.

My sons an awful patient, keeps yelling at me when I wake him up to take his temperature.
