I'm fine, just having a whinge.

Also... i'll be offline for about a week as of Saturday, not sure how long it will take my ISP to get their finger out, (a few days they advise, oh yeah, right sure...took them a week last time).. to transfer my account to the new address, so if i'm gone for a week or so as of Saturday, i'm not dead.

I don't remember saying middle age was 40, although if Neferti and Mel remember me saying it - I must have, but I've changed my mind and now think middle age should be 50. Funny how some of us feel old in our teens, while others still think they're young in their 60's, but like Neferti said - looking after your body as you get older is essential. Most of us don't and think we're infallible, but when you hit middle age - the sins of your past catch up with you. If you're not in good shape and an old injury flares up, or you get ill or have an accident - recovery can be difficult.
Neferti wrote:Laugh about it now Mellie. In 10 years time you will realise that doing what you did is stupid. Males have bodies designed to Lift Stuff. You have a son who is well designed to Lift Stuff and not pull his back muscles. Where was he while you were doing ALL the hard yakka?
Yes that's what sons are there for - to do the heavy lifting for their mothers. Demand it Mel - although at your son's age, boys are never around when they're needed.

Age is just a number.

True...but I wish mine was 21 again.... :)

Naaa... I like being 35, it's a good age to be.

Fit enough to do most things, though sensible enough to think twice about doing some of them.

I might give the back-flips into the pool a miss though... aaaahhh, those were the days.

If I tried one now, my back would probably break in half.

I'd hate to be 21 again. Life is better now than it was 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago.

I have to agree with you here.

Being a young adult is hard work...and quite over-rated... I'm enjoying aging disgracefully for now, and refuse to be one of those vain old bats who lie about their age.

Like you say, it's just a number... all 35 of them.

:)...I mean so what if we need to call the fire department to put the candles out on our birthday cakes?

Sometimes gravity has a way of bringing people down to earth, onion-bags and all......with the exception of Warwick Capper of course...

Good call X-boxy, ... though as demonstrated, they sometimes play with themselves.

Actually Boxy, my son spends most of his spare time on skype talking to his girlfriend these days... she's been reading him chapters from novels she's reading and nursing him via skype... honestly, she could feed him rat-sack and he'd think it was wonderful. Cute.

My son has been unwell, quite, otherwise, he'd be helping, rest assured.
