Hebe-
Rugby Union is better - if you're lucky you're the only supporter on the sidelines.

Whats the difference between Rugby Union and Rugby League?

League is a breakaway of Union, happened back in 1907, Union has 15 players on the field and League has 13, there are lots of different rules but the basics are the same.
Its more common for Union to be played in private schools while league is more a "working class sport".
I've played both and while I like League as a supporter I preferred to play Union, its more a tactical game than League and there is a lot more kicking in Union for field position than there is in League.

Thank you skippy, Ill have to sit down and watch a game of League and Union one day..Im an AFL fan because it is fast paced so the finer points of Rugby are not appreciated by me I think.

Were you a good player skippy..were you bulked up bodywise I mean?

I played about thirty years ago Ag, I was a much better Union player than League as in Union you dont have to tackle as much as League and tackling wasn't my forte.
I played fullback or winger so I wasn't all that bulked up as for those positions you need to be fast rather than strong and boofy.
I'm too pretty to be in the front row. 8-)

Hmmmm nobody noticed the irony in the title of this thread.

Isn't it an incredible luxury to call a day with lots of rain "horrible"?
