Re: Constitutional reform
You could solve the petition problem with relevancy requirement and a restriction on commenting in petitions, similar to my sugggestion for voting threads.
eg, petitions must either call for an election, an amendment to the constitution or a meaningful change in admin/moderation policy and may not contain anything more than what is necessary to explain the proposal - ie no promotion. Memebers may only post a single response with a single word to indicate their support. Members may not indicate their opposition. Any posts failing this criteria may be deleted. If the opening post fails this criteria, the thread may be moved to the cess pit.

Re: Constitutional reform
Aussie doesn’t want to move threads to the CP because then he would have to move IQ’s bullshit.
Amendments to the constitution need to be discussed and changes made then it can go to a referendum.

Not much wrong with the way it is now......just need to stop idiots using the word "Petition" incorrectly. There is nothing which stops me moving all the crap current "Petitions" into oblivion, other than ...... I want Members to see just how disruptive and obsessed Monk can be.
They'll all go soon enough.
Edit: The Petition concerning my appointment of Annie does NOT fall into the 'crap' category. It falls within the Constitutional category.

Re: Constitutional reform
Given that Aussie justified his last referendum with the fake petition issue, which now seems to be getting worse by the day, it would be interesting to see if he supports this idea. It would actually fix the problem, without risking a dictatorship.

Re: Constitutional reform
OK, I will look into drafing it up a bit more thoughtfully.
Would you support the restrictions on voting threads as well? That is, only for voting, no commentary?

Oh, so you agree with Monk, do you? Are you saying that NOIQs Petition about my decision to appoint Annie as Mod is 'fake?'freediver wrote:Given that Aussie justified his last referendum with the fake petition issue, which now seems to be getting worse by the day, it would be interesting to see if he supports this idea. Re: Constitutional reform
