It's not looking good for Erin:
She had been an air traffic controller – a very high IQ job -
and the fact she survived eating foraged mushrooms before
meant she knew something about identifying them
or she would have been dead years ago.
Death cap mushrooms are easy to spot and they are the first ones
foragers learn about so they can avoid them.
Looks like Erin won't take the stand.
If it was me on trial and I was innocent there is no way
I could sit there for 6 weeks and say nothing -
I'd want my say in court before they locked me up for life
for something I hadn't done.
They couldn't shut me up and I wouldn't care what my lawyer advised.

I'd like to see her on the stand -
question -
why did you take a perfectly good Sunbeam food dehydrator to the tip?

I haven't been following the trial but usually lawyers keep them off the stand if they think they will either incriminate themselves or that the jury won't like them.

And she's the Hollywood type who would break down in tears all the time -
especially when asked a hard question.
It would have been painful to watch her Academy Award acting.

There is little doubt that she's guilty imo whether she testifies or not.

I wonder what evidence is being covered up?
If the cops would have found witchcraft books at her home would
they hide that from the court or would the Judge prevent it being disclosed?

It's witchcraft:
Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison’d entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights hast thirty one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witches’ mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin’d salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg’d i’ the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Sliver’d in the moon’s eclipse,
Nose of Turk, and Tartar’s lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver’d by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger’s chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Re: Mushroom lady trial starts today
Was at Koh Samui Thailand ages ago with a few hours to go before my flight out. Having breakfast with a big blonde kiwi dude and I was about to order the mushroom omelette on the menu, when he advised me not to and pointed to a guy waist deep in the beach seawater. Watching the guy for a short while, I realised he was totally off somewhere else. I thanked my kiwi mate as I think I would have had the worst experience if I consumed that mushy omelette. Lol.
