What is it with most Queenslanders?
Must they be THIS seriously dumb and clueless?
There's something very wrong with that state.
In this case, the jury is forever asking the Judge for help like they're little babies. Are they waiting for the judge to tell them :
The answer starts with an "M" and ends with "anslaughter" ????

I was surprised by the verdict also, but Tostee held all the cards. As soon as the aggression started - he taped it from beginning to end. The jury heard it all and made a decision on that. Wright was incredibly drunk and also violent. Yes it was the wrong move to shove her out on the balcony - he should have had the sense to throw her out the front door, but he was very drunk too. He is a creep and was lucky that he had a good lawyer and the recording. Unfortunately the world has never been a safe place for drunk females - even though that is not an excuse for violence, but it is one of the main causes of most violent acts.
Domestic violence is now a hot political issue - and that's good in many respects, but women can be aggressive also. She can attack a man violently and all he has to do is shove her away and she can call the police accusing him of domestic violence. The police aren't that interested anymore in a man's excuse when they're called to a domestic situation. He's immediately charged on the say so of the female even if it is a lie. The police have no choice. There are orders from the politicians to keep the number of arrests up high so it looks like they're doing something about it.

Oh Mantra...thank you for posting that.
I've hardly slept.
The verdict was wrong. It should have been manslaughter.
What more proof did anyone require?
Tosser was in total control of her the entire time AND the tragedy played out on HIS turf.
My husband came home from the office last night, put his case down, looked at me and despite my brave face, he just knew exactly what I was thinking/feeling.
No amount of cuddling/reassuring could console me. I'm angry. I'm disgusted. I'm disappointed.
But I'm also hopeful. I'm hopeful that karma will catch up with this tosser one day. Soon.

Regardless of whatever supposed criminal history on Tostee's part, if I was on that jury I would vote for acquittal of all charges.
She assaulted him and stole his wallet.
A sane individual (locked out on the balcony) would have rung or called out for help, or if intimidated and no help arrived, wait till he left the apartment and smashed the glass door with balcony furniture/fittings.
Her choice to climb out of a balcony on a multi-story building is clear evidence she was an idiot.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

She certainly looks quite crazy in some of the pics I have seen of her that night. Her eyes are crazed.
I am not in any way trying to excuse him but she just doesn't look 'right'.

I am totally sick of it. If they keep posting Tostee's head on the news, I think I might throw up.
