It makes you wonder how small this "minority" is. I certainly would not expect to have to squat over a toilet in an office building in Sydney.

When I was working in the city a lot of cleaners were going on strike around the city because there would be poop and mess everywhere (walls, floors, doors) from people squatting over the toilets. How do they make such a mess? Many buildings had to put up signs re toilet etiquette. I find it disgusting.

Now they are just providing holes.

My late husband took pictures of the Executive Suite toilets in Italy, I think. Seats with footprints so one in the MEN'S TOILET knew what they were meant to do.

Once here in the States I stopped at a convenience store to get some gas. It wasn't a nice new shiny store but a dump which is usually a red flag that it is Indian-owned. After I get my gas I go in to use the toilet and see the Indian husband and wife behind the counter and behind them see the toilet door with a handwritten sign which I cannot make out but can guess what it says. I ask them where the toilet is even though I can see it and watch them pause. Before they can answer I say, "I just bought some gas" and the Indian husband says "I know but the toilet doesn't work." Then the wife says that it was okay to go ahead and use the toilet because it works "now." That is the kind of shit you have to put up with these people. Had it been a normal Amercian convenience store that absurd exchange would not have expired. Of course we have toilets. Of course they work. And of course you can use them. And of course you don't have to ask.

Wait till you visit a country where the dunny paper isn't allowed to go into the dunny and there's the overflowing bucket next to the shitter.

My late husband worked for a Swiss Engineering Company. He travelled extensively with them and he went everywhere in Europe and America. He was away for weeks on end. He took pictures of the so-called Executive Toilets in Italy ...with " footprints" ... even he was amazed. LOL

They own all the convenience stores, 7-Elevens and service stations in Sydney now and most of them are filthy. When you go to pay they just leer at you. I mean really LEER. It's creepy.

I had to stop at a service station last week for oil and the guy didn't even have a clue what I wanted. No prices on anything and the shelves were dusty and dirty.
