Just got back from seeing it. No. Not the best action movie since Jaws. Don't waste your money.

Anyone who doesn't know ... here is a site where you can "catchup" on Aussie TV.

Not surprised Godzilla wasn't worth it. I mean how many Godzilla type movies can you make? I never liked the original concept and I never liked Jaws either
Nef, there is hardly any Aussie tv worth catching up on. I download all that I want to watch after searching out the most popular shows aired overseas.

I only watch Foxtel and since I am In The Capital City we only get ABC and SBS on Foxtel. I would have to use the other remote and switch to TV to get Channels 7, 9 and 10.Black Orchid wrote:Not surprised Godzilla wasn't worth it. I mean how many Godzilla type movies can you make? I note that things like the latest LEWIS are currently showing on Channel 7? Foxtel is repeating Lewis from way back.
The link I gave is to current stuff showing on Australian TV and definitely NOT Aussie crap. I like UK TV shows and tend to avoid the USA ones.

I had Foxtel for years but let it go. Anything I wanted to watch I watched in the first week and for the rest of the month it was just repeats. Far better for me to just download what I want to watch in my own time.
There are a lot of good American shows that we don't get here and, when we do, they mess up the sequence of episodes, stop and start them and generally stuff things up.

It's a reboot because apparently people didn't like the last one with Mathew Broderick in it.
I liked it.
This one goes back to the old style Godzilla... probably to make the Japanese happy
At least this time it is not a man in a rubber suit... or is it?
Apparently you have to wait over 40 minutes before the monster gets in shot.

Yeah, this Godzilla was old-school ... and lovable. Bryan Cranston didn't have the role I thought he would. All-in-all a disappointment.

The writeup you posted was fantastic. If he had written the review for Showgirls, Elizabeth Berkley might still have a career.

After that I could hear the music whenever I went into the sea. particular snorkelling and after a deep dive you can feel/hear your heart beat in your ears that my mind translated to the music of jaws.Lucas wrote:AMEN to that.AiA in Atlanta wrote:I remember seeing JAWS when I was a kid and it scared the shit out of me
The nightmare: The carpet in my room turned into just carpet threads floating on water and the basterd swam into my room with his mouth open half out the water cruising right at me I'll never forget that night. The eye ball hanging out of the head under water. It was a lot to take in as a small lad.
Then I did bloody well see a 7 foot shark coming towards me. The local papers reported the local sea area must have suffered a raw sewage leak that day.
