Whilst the hypocrisy surrounding most if not all religions has often left me feeling breathless, for some people, religion is a source of strength and hope.

It's not my bag, but I'm not about to criticise those who believe in god.

Each to their own.

I don't have an issue with people believing in God.

I have an issue with the institutions that claim to speak for her and their hypocricy.

noun
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

I think this is real progress.

Jedi knights 'to make Scotland their intergalactic wedding hub', say presbyterians
Jedi knights could soon be performing special intergalactic weddings in Scotland, Presbyterians have predicted.

Politics + myth = Religion

'The Bible' fans question Satan's likeness to Barack Obama

Viewers of the History Channel's new TV series 'The Bible' have been struck by the remarkable resemblance between Satan and Barack Obama.

When someone, anyone, comes back from the Dead (whether it is Heaven or Hell) and has pictures, then I might believe them. Meanwhile, it is all bulltish. ;)

Not enough. We all know images can be forged :yahoo

When they produce a repeatable experiment that demonstrates this.... then I may start to believe.

All I ask for is one, just one, repeatable supernatural event.... just one. Any one. Just one. Is this asking too much.

Once a "supernatural event" becomes repeatable, it's no longer "supernatural", pretty much by definition.
