Why not have them all work from home and telecommute.

That term..................'telecommute,'..............is meaningless to me. If it means they get on the computer and teleconference, I understand the term. Can be done from home. Do I really need to contend with your smelly armpits, and other personally obnoxious habits......so that we can barnstorm ideas in the same actual room? Is physical interaction necessary. I think not.

[Wow, eventually, no more Court Houses......no travel by Lawyers....not even "Inns." (There will be a lot of currently very pricey London addresses which will no longer be required for their current use.) They will all be working from home. Heck.....even this dinosaur is doing it right now.

I don't see everyone workign from home as you say. It is an ideal that will not work in practice. From a cost reduction perspective, I see it for simple businesses where the employee is just doing a mundane job that can be done anywhere (like call centre) then yes. When it comes to people working together to do something to satay ahead of the pack... they need to be together most of the time.

Yes, the Law is being dispensed virtually. It began years ago....when prisoners were kept within the Prison and the formal, like bail applications, matters were dealt with via video link. Now....even the High Court of Australia is run 'virtually.'

Aside from that being not how the IR system that the ALP introduced works, if you didn't achieve nothing of great value at the office, 1. You wouldnt be working for me and 2. I could fuck you off easier from the office because you could be evaluated quicker and more thoroughly

My employees don't get to work from home because the business requires people in the office or on the road, not to mention that workplace productivity needs to be managed, not outsourced to the individual employee. They are either in the office or on the road...not at the fucking golf course
