Why?
The girls want to be with their mother and they're old enough to make up their own minds.
Are they?
All children say that they are old enough to know what's best for them.

That is NOT a good excuse. Girls usually (according to psychiatrists) favour their fathers. If I was 10-12 years old (how old are these kids?) and had to decide which parent I wanted to be with, I would have chosen my Dad. My parents never divorced. So I didn't have to decide. BUT as a young girl I would have definitely sided with my Father. As a 20+ year old, I would have chosen my Mother! So there you go.

They are aged between 9 and 15 and they should be with their mother. The father will be resented for his insistence they be returned to Italy. It will cost him his children in the end.
Regardless of the fact that the mother kidnapped them, and removed them from their father, and the country they grew up in, you mean? You're a bit of a Misandrist, arn't you, Mantra.

I read about it ages ago. The girls have always wanted to be with their mother. It is ridiculous saying that strangers should decide their future and what's in their best interests. It is only because of legal complications in regard to nationality that they are being returned to their father - not what is best for them personally.
The father is very strict and has allegedly hit them. It is more damaging for them to be forced to stay with a parent they are afraid of.

Technically she kidnapped them and no I'm not a misandrist Boxy. That is offensive. The mother has never been declared unfit.

So why do you approve of her removing them from their father? I'm sure you'd be wailing long and hard about a man removing his kids from the mother here, to another country. Why should mothers be allowed to steal kids, but not fathers?

No evidence of either of those claims.

For the simple reason that the girls want to live with their mother. She was desperate and that's why she kept the children. Maybe if the father does drop all charges against the mother in Italy - she can return there and help with the parenting. It's a harsh lesson to learn but people need to think twice before they marry foreign nationals.

True
Seems that mothers are the ones who see children as an object and as their god given right, their own possession simply due to being the mechanism for the birth.

So when a father is desperate he is classed as a criminal and charged with kidnapping/abduction.
Yet when the mother does the same act she is ecxcused, funny how the attitudes change isn't it
