Warning-antipsychotics can kill in a heatwave!

Psychiatric medications—particularly antipsychotics, lithium and topirmate—affect the body's ability to stay cool by causing a decrease in sweating, promoting fluid loss and dehydration, or changing how people experience heat; i.e., they may not even feel heat.

If you have a friend or rellie taking these drugs, ring them up a couple of times a day, or get others to ring them. These, more than the elderly, die in heatwaves and died in New Orleans just after Katrina.

As opposed to not taking them which can also kill but then it's usually the neighbours.
