I still here cartwright and wheelwright occasionally. When I was a kid I watched a steel rimmed wooden wheel getting made. Plus there's a pont Cartwright north of here.

Concentrating too much on grammar and perfecting it can interfere with what you actually want to say. You can write something and think - that sounds OK. Take a second look at it for mistakes, fix them - then it doesn't read properly - change it again and then you've lost the whole gist of the point you wanted to make.
Best to write something off the top of your head and leave it - even if there are a few errors.

"Theirs no global warming"
Would you take that guy seriously? Of course not!
Sure you can sit down with a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and write in a white hot haze of inspiration but to make it readable to your fellow men you would then go over it looking for spelling/grammatical errors, barbarisms of expression etc.
Wouldn't obsess over the odd typo, but your writings should be clear and even have a sort of elegance that says to someone "this person knows what he is talking about and writes well so I will read this stuff seriously and carefully."
My opinion anyway.

Sometimes people manage to communicate quite clearly that they are pissed off and slightly insane, but that's about it. You have no idea why.

Yeah. Looking illiterate is no way to convey information or advance an argument.
Not really being a nazi about it, abbreviations like b4, l8er etc quite acceptable on the web or casual correspondence.
