The pro-HAMAS protesters blocked the bridge under false pretense.
NY Times admits it published misleading picture of emaciated Gaza child

The New York Times has issued a statement about the publication of a photo of a Gaza child whom the masthead and other media outlets claimed was suffering ‘severe malnutrition,’ after it emerged he had been diagnosed with pre-existing health conditions.

The Times then ran the story on its print front page July 25, with the photo of the child and his mother as the leading image. The caption says the child was “born healthy” but is suffering from “severe malnutrition.”

Even left oriented ABC admitted the falsehood.
Separate media organisations also reported Muhammad had cerebral palsy, and some reporting suggested media that relied on his story wilfully omitted information about his underlying health conditions, to perpetuate a narrative around famine.

They have no right to be taking over 'our' Bridge under any circumstances imo. The pro Israel protest was cancelled. When did we become a part of the ME?

Much of it is all propaganda and the media are scum.

Minns pointed out that in the past two years, the police had facilitated a hundred protests with the Palestine Action Group, as well as scores of other demonstrations.
How much is that costing NSW Police and the NSW govt for crowd control, blocking off streets, traffic control, facilitating the marchers, extra police rostered on, overtime, etc?

As a taxpayer, I want to know where my taxes are going. I think if we all knew how much these protest marches every couple of weeks were costing, we might find a lot more people against them.

Maybe the organisers should start paying up - if you want to protest, you have to pay your share, especially public liability insurance.

Sunday's march across the Harbour Bridge would have cost a fortune. :S
The government has effectively killed a bill to introduce legislation that would charge protest groups for police fees if they held more than three demonstrations a year.
A renewed push to limit activists to staging three protests a year with taxpayer-funded crowd control has been shut down by the NSW government.

After the weekend's pro-Palestinian march over Sydney Harbour Bridge, Shadow Attorney-General Alister Henskens attempted to bring on debate for a bill — first introduced in February — that proposed a 'user pays' system for protest organisers after reaching a cap.

"This bill is not taking any side on the issues that were subject of the protest on Sunday," Mr Henskens told parliament.

"The current legislation does not give any guidance to courts as to how they are to determine the public interest.

Disappointing. They should pass a bill where they have to pay for ALL protests.

Apparently the child's brother in the 'uncropped' version looked well and well fed. Reckon they were purposely starving the cerebral palsy kid to death like a tax write off. The only use they saw for the child was for false propaganda.

True. It should be user pays. Just like we northside residents have to pay tolls to use the bridge, so should they. Especially when they are shutting it down to everyone else! And all for a protest about something in the Middle East which really has nothing to do with us.

Hi Jasin, I just typed up a reply to this but when I go to Submit, it takes me back to login where I have to keep logging back in several times. I don't know why this is happening but it's too time consuming to post.
