Knife attack from African in the UK
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/0 ... ng-police/
29 July 2024
Two children were killed and nine others were stabbed on Monday when a hooded man
launched a knife attack in a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons and is originally from Cardiff,
moved to the Southport area with his Rwandan parents when he was aged six.
The attack began just before midday in Southport, Merseyside, as the children, some as young as six, were enjoying the workshop at the beginning of the school holidays.
Six of the wounded children remained in a critical condition on Monday night and were being treated at hospitals across the North West.
Two adults were present at the dance and yoga class and tried to intervene. They were also being treated for stab wounds and were said to be in a critical condition.
Merseyside Police confirmed that a 17-year-old boy, from the village of Banks, about five miles away from Southport, had been arrested and was being questioned on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons and is originally from Cardiff, moved to the Southport area with his Rwandan parents when he was aged six.
In a press conference, Chief Constable Serena Kennedy, of Merseyside Police, said that while the incident was not being treated as terror-related, colleagues from counter-terror policing had offered to assist with the investigation.
She said the motivation behind the attack remained unclear.
On Monday evening, the King sent a message of support to the families of the victims.
He said: “My wife and I have been profoundly shocked to hear of the utterly horrific incident in Southport today.
“We send our most heartfelt condolences, prayers and deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those who have so tragically lost their lives, and to all those affected by this truly appalling attack.”

Wondering if they'll announce a motive to the general public, or if it will be one of those incidents we learn about decades later when someone applies for police transcripts under the FOI Act?
Bit like Trumps Assassins 2nd and 3rd phone records which aren't likely to be released anytime soon.
Devastating tragedy, my prayers and thoughts are with the families enduring such a devastating loss and or have loved ones still recovering in hospital.
Speaking of Freedom of information, if anyone has a loved one who's contracted Leigonellas disease within the Melbourne metropolitan area as of late, may want to check this site to locate cooling towers they may have been in close proximity to. What often happens is the health department waits for the company to clean its towers of sludge before it attends the premises for formal assessment/testing.
With an outbreak this size, I refuse to accept that authorities haven't already isolated the offending source of infection.

They are not saying on the news where the cases are.
EDIT -
I found this
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-n ... e-victoria
Looker said those who had contracted the illness resided in metropolitan Melbourne, with the majority located in the northern and western suburbs.
“At this stage, we haven’t been able to identify a single site that has been visited by all the cases.”
Looker said most of the cases involved adults aged over 40. Most had required hospitalisation, with six people in intensive care.
“Legionnaires’ disease, unfortunately, is quite a severe form of pneumonia,” she said.
“It can affect people often who have other underlying health conditions or [are] immune-compromised and so most of our cases are hospitalised.”
Looker urged anyone who had visited or lived in metropolitan Melbourne and developed symptoms including chills, fevers, a cough or was feeling unwell to seek medical attention.

Re: Knife attack from African in the UK
I think it's pretty irresponsible of them to withhold this information.
They didn't seem to mind sharing covid stat's, localities numbers, but you see, the difference is people can sue companies, or even the government for contracting Legionnaires disease, because it's completely preventable and is caused by businesses, organisations, industries not cleaning their cooling towers or air-conditioning systems, spas, drinking water, workplace air quality, even nursing homes.
It's negligence and the government knows this and sadly, there's still a very significant mortality rate and often results in long term effects they'd rather discuss privately with victims on a $"individual "$ basis.
Guys, if you or anyone you know contracts this preventable and potentially fatal, life changing disease, seek legal advice. Not legal Aid lol
Government has a vested interest in some industries companies and tourist venues.... recall the Melbourne Aquarium Legionnaires outbreak back in 2001 or there abouts?
That was quickly swept under the carpet also.
I have travelled to Melbourne 3 times in the last week, and would like to know if we have been placed at risk.
From a Westfield's shopping centre, to an Airport terminal ( last night) ...and a couple of North Melbourne medical appointments at a public hospital also.
I am taking immuno- suppressive medication for a autoimmune disease RA, that renders me vulnerable, and given symptoms are rather vague, similar to a regular respiratory illness like flu, I'd like to know if I have potentially been exposed and need to monitor for symptoms closely.
Onset of symptoms can begin between 2 and 10 days in most cases, however many have reported longer incubation periods of up to 3 weeks.
It's particularly sinister because unless you are monitoring for symptoms, you are likely to think you are getting a cold/flu. All but 3 out of 33 patients who have contracted it in this outbreak are in hospital, at least 6 in intensive care because it grabs you very quickly and puts patients into respiratory arrest very very quickly.
Imagine going to bed with a slight headache, fever and a sniffle, and waking up in ICU, or not waking up at all.
Symptoms are rather similar to the common cold virus, like any other respiratory illness, so there's no particular signs to look out for... are very similar to much less serious viral Infections like flu, covid common cold.
GPs are known for not being overly active in testing for it either, because the symptoms are so vague and similar to so many other ailments.
You basically need to request pathology, but on what grounds, when the health department won't even disclose the suburbs, places or even post codes where the outbreak has occurred.
Even when we request pathology, many GPs would be inclined to refuse on the grounds that we have no idea or proof we were at these places where the outbreak has occurred.

They didn't mind sharing covid stat's, yet when it potentially impacts themselves being sued , this information is being withheld as though we were living in North Korea or China.
Whatever happened to freedom of information and press?
Whatever happened to a transparent investigation and consequences for these venues not doing the right thing by the public?
Well, it depends on weather or not the government can gain financially from sharing this information, or if they stand to lose.
Should have our government been more proactive, performing more spot-checks at these venues to ensure businesses were keeping their cooling towers sludge free, and clean?
Unlike Covid, this is an entirely preventable disease.

Re: Knife attack from African in the UK
My apologies for railroading this topic, but it comes down to the same thing.
Lack of press freedom and breeches in freedom of information.
Government transparency.
The public have a right to access information that could potentially prevent them from being harmed, murdered, infected, etc. Seems our current woke governments united by the UN council of woke members beg to differ.
The 17 year old who stabbed children at a school holiday dance program will have his criminal history, name, even circumstances withheld because it's deemed politically incorrect, even "racist" to request facts which may result in our voting differently or demand change. Heaven forbid should any of us begin voting with our hands instead of voting blindfolded with our feet based on headlines un-approved by our global Ministry of Thought. Orwell was spot on. I don't think I need to tell any of you here this.
I know the Orwellian concept has become rather cliche, but it's getting to the point wherby even the most critical of conspiracy theories and of George Orwell himself cannot deny that tax-payers, citizens are being denied access to the very information they need to make informed decisions surrounding all aspects of their lives.
Yet we live in a era whereby information is readily accessible, online, and capable of providing the very information we need to keep loved ones and ourselves safe.
There's just no plausible or humane excuse!
