So it seems, but only in certain special circumstances. In any event, I have no problem with this Jones idiot. He can do what he likes. I do not accept that the Koran is the product of pulped timber, dried, bunged through a few machines, and had some words mechanically put upon them.

They can burn the american flag, burn the bible, make any woman visiting their country cover up but they get upset with burning of a mass produced Koran which has no religous significance except for the words on the paper.

There are much more worthy things to get upset about, than a jerkoff being told what an attention seeking jerk he's being...

Calling for the death of a woman simply for writing a letter of support, for someone sentenced to death in a bizarre and cruel manner? Now that's abusive mediaYesterday the [Iranian] newspaper said: 'Studying Carla Bruni's record clearly shows the reason why this immoral woman is backing an Iranian woman who has been condemned to death for committing adultery and being accomplice in her husband's murder and, in fact, she herself deserves to die.'

This Media thing is going to be one of the great challenges of the 21st Century. I have not yet got my head around how to explain it (the www is an essential element) but I have no doubt that in the not too distant future the Media (and ergo, the www) are gonna have their wings clipped, and I will agree it should happen given the complete irresponsibility and what I suspect is the almost Caligula like belief that they, the Media, are the self appointed purveyors of Truth, when in fact, at the most basic level, their sole interest is in generating a piece of silver. Now that's abusive media
Do I hear you whisper.........Media controlled, owned by Government? Yes, I admit that is where I reckon where are heading, not because Government wants it, but rather because the Media have grossly abused the freedoms they reckon they have, and through passage of time, seem to have.

YHWH The god of the early Israelites to be forever known as god.The twelve tribes of Israel rose up against their oppressors because of persecution. Is this what is going to happen when christians rise up against this crap that the muslims carry on about their beloved Koran. Why do the media beat up that the Koran is more important to muslims than the bible to christians. Is this a reverse discrimination of christian beliefs and is the media leading the charge by defacto.

Re: Koranic Conflagaration.
While the immediate consequences for the individual may be far starker, I don't really think that makes the cause any more worthy. In both cases, muslims are saying to the world that you are not allowed to criticise them. With the Koran burning, they are saying it much louder.boxy wrote:There are much more worthy things to get upset about, than a jerkoff being told what an attention seeking jerk he's being...

Why do you think that?but I have no doubt that in the not too distant future the Media (and ergo, the www) are gonna have their wings clipped
Freedom, not truth. Truth is for you to decide. The media is absolutely fundamental to freedom of speech.and what I suspect is the almost Caligula like belief that they, the Media, are the self appointed purveyors of Truth
I think they haven't pushed them far enough. Our political landscape is already suffering because professional journalists don't dig deep enough and challenge people enough. The media should be out there making a complete mockery of all the muslims who try to limit what they can publish. Unfortunately too many of them are yielding to the pressure to self censor.but rather because the Media have grossly abused the freedoms they reckon they have, and through passage of time, seem to have.
