Tragedy in Texas. A truck driver fell asleep and crashed his truck about 10 miles from my house. His load spilled all over the highway. I'm surprised there wasn't a riot. His load was dunny paper bound for San Antonio. The driver is ok.

Tex, I hereby dub thee an honorary Australian for using our vernacular 'dunny paper'.Texan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 9:22 amTragedy in Texas. If I had been very Australian I would have converted 10 miles to 16km, but thanks. I'll take it.Gordon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:39 pmTex, I hereby dub thee an honorary Australian for using our vernacular 'dunny paper'.Texan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 9:22 amTragedy in Texas. It was probably an Aussie truck driver on the wrong side of the road.

I still convert to Miles per Gallon and we changed to metric in 1974, old habits die hard!Texan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:51 pmIf I had been very Australian I would have converted 10 miles to 16km, but thanks. For windsurfing, sails and masts are always metric but boards length is is in feet but board volume is in litres and wind speed is in knots.Redneck wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:59 pmI still convert to Miles per Gallon and we changed to metric in 1974, old habits die hard!Texan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:51 pmIf I had been very Australian I would have converted 10 miles to 16km, but thanks. You're a good bloke.
So when it's about 25 knots, you want a 85 litre/7' board with a 5m2 sail on a 490cm mast
