Site Security

Post by Black Orchid » Thu Feb 09, 2017 10:10 pm

I have never noticed this before so I am assuming it is a new thing. When I bring up this site (and OzPol), and before I log in, there is now a warning saying Not Secure in the address bar to the left of the domain name. Once I log in the wording Not Secure disappears but the i inside the circle symbol is still there and if you click on that the rest comes up.

Click this and it says ...

Your connection to this site is not secure.

You should not enter any sensitive information on this site (for example passwords or credit cards) because it could be stolen by attackers. Learn more

Click Learn More and it takes you here ...

Just means the forum doesn't have an SSL certificate.

It's the difference between http://www.shittyforum.com and https://www.shittyforumthatpaysmore.com

Worth noting if you are buying online, but nothing to worry about.

I'm not being a drama queen but it's the first time I have noticed it. Chrome must have changed something.

Yes I think it is a setting in your browser!

I seem to recall having encountered that myself at one stage!

I use Firefox and noticed it recently too ... only on here and OzPol though.
