These are precious "hymns" that many of us learned as children. Probably many of us sung at school and thought we were great. I thought I was. 
It does NOT mean that you have to be a Christian to appreciate what Christmas was when you were a kid. NOBODY does Carols by Candlelight, as far as I know. I used to go along and get bitten by mozzies.
Unfortunately, these Christmas songs are already being "banned" because of the Muslims.
