I was stuck in traffic yesterday listening to the radio and spacing out when I was drawn to all the buses going by and their huge advertisements. Bus after bus passed by and the only caucasian person I saw was Manu and he is not even Australian. Every advertisement was dominated by Asians, Indians and all other variations of brown and darker brown.

If I go to China I expect to see Chinese in their advertisements. If I go to Africa I expect to see more Africans than anyone else in their advertising. There is beginning to be nary an Australian of our white European heritage to be seen in our advertisements.

I imagine some will consider this racist but isn't it unjustifiably more racist to exclude caucasians in most forms of our new wave of multicultural advertising? I have been noticing it more and more in certain tv advertisements too. A general mix is acceptable but this kind of advertising is not.

Are we being forced to lose our identity? More to the point have we already lost it?

It's the new cultural cringe ... whites are to pay and be unseen.

In the hills up here, anyone with TV has a sat dish.
Quite often they're often on a NT signal (Alice Springs)
and everyone in every Govt advisory campaign add is black.

Haven't visited Australia in quite few years so I can't say but Big Business is usually far more sensitive to cultural/demographic/psychographic changes than anyone else. I watch on TV protests in stores of a successful retailer in the USA named Target. What is one of the most successful retailers in a very competitive market in a very competitive country doing to piss people off? They have embraced a transgender bathroom policy in all its stores. Why would they do this? Only for the money. They see which way the wind is blowing. I doubt if there is any real concern about the transgendered. Certainly not enough to where the company executives would go out on a limb and risk profits. So when you see advertisements that feature non-whites you can be sure that that is where the money is to be made.

We had a program initiated by the previous Labor government called the Safe Schools Program. Money was poured into it to train teachers to promote LBGT tolerance in both primary schools and high schools. Our literacy and numeracy has fallen through the floor but we apparently must spend money on something like this. The original adverts had a young male dressed in a girls school uniform.

546 schools were originally signed up consisting of over 400,000 students who will probably finish school with offensive grammar and little or no spelling and math skills but they will be taught that it is ok for primary school boys to wear a dress to school. Primary school kids need a basic, whole, grounded and fluent education. They don't need to be spending their time learning about transgenders. Teachers need to get back to basics and learn how to teach grammar.

Glad you reminded me because the Greens want to bring it back after the next election and now Labor are joining the squawk to reinstate the program.

On one hand I can see the wisdom of having schoolkids focus on learning and not political correctness but I have met kids here in the States that were home schooled and it wasn't pretty.

Kiwis are often labelled "Smiling assassins" ... meaning they're untrustworthy.

Personally I find Kiwis Ok until there's money or beer involved.
