Aussie day is big in Dubai, there is a picnic held by the Australia Council this Friday. Should be a good day out.

They put on the Tine Arena concert I went to last weekend too.

It is good to knock around with a bunch of aussies while overseas.

Nothing cynical at all it's very clever. I like Adam Hills and while it's a joke it actually sounds much better than the real deal. I saw Adam Hills do that one night on Spicks and Specks when Jimmy Barnes was a panel member and Barnsy loved it.

It wasn't so happy for our native birds last night. As fireworks went off in local parks - flocks of birds fled in terror as they usually do when stray rockets and loud explosions surround them. You can always hear them screeching for hours afterwards while they fly around blindly trying to find a tree to land in. Birds are blind at night and I assume many of them are hurt or killed during these celebrations.

Still haven't watched it... so I'm guessing its just another pathetic comedic slur, not into jingoism either. So haven't watched the other either.
