Dalziel Dies!
Nothing in the Aussie Press but Warren Clarke who played Dalziel in D & P died yesterday, age 67. I watched Dalziel and Pascoe numerous times. RIP Warren.

Re: Dalziel Dies!
We have lost a lot of familiar faces on TV this year.

Many of those in that link, I recognise, but had no idea that they had died. Ah well.

I had no idea that so many Hollywood types died in 2014 either. 2,706 apparently 'famous' names, most of which I have never heard of.
I didn't look past page 1 but noticed Ralph Waite at number 22 and listed as being notable for The Bodyguard. I don't even remember him in that movie. I would think he was more notable for The Waltons.

Yes probably most famous for the Waltons. He has spent the past few years playing the father of the lead character in NCIS as well. I always knew I recognised his face in NCIS but couldn't work out where from until I just looked at that list.Black Orchid wrote:I had no idea that so many Hollywood types died in 2014 either. 2,706 apparently 'famous' names, most of which I have never heard of.

I had to look him up when I saw him as Jethro Gibb's (Mark Harmon) father in NCIS, too. Then it was obvious to me. Although I never watched the Waltons I always remembered his face and voice in the deep recesses of my mind.

Yea that's it. I never watched the Waltons either but given it was such a big show just watching the promos for it gave you some insight to the actors in it.Black Orchid wrote:I had to look him up when I saw him as Jethro Gibb's (Mark Harmon) father in NCIS, too.
