No, 'the family' (cult) weren't after Julian Assange per say, rather the step-father, cult leader and father of his baby half brother was trying to abduct his own child (Julian's baby brother) to unite him with 'the family' (cult).
This said, Julian has all the aryan features a white supremacist cult leader would appreciate, though I think in the doco, this cult leader was more concerned with abducting his own progeny than pursuing Julian Assange.
