IQ Distribution vs The Mythical Glass Ceiling

Think of a field of endeavour. Any field of endeavour. Academic, sporting, scientific, artistic, anything. Now list the names of the top five or ten exponents in the world in that field. Now count the women on that list. Is the total zero or very close to zero? Sure it is and here is why.

While the average IQ of males and females is the same, there is a greater variance in the IQs of males than that of females. That is, the female IQs tend to cluster around the mean, whereas the male IQs are more spread out towards the tard and the genius ends of the spectrum.

This explains both the preponderance of men in prison (tard end of spectrum) and the preponderance of men at the top end of, well, everything (genius end of spectrum).

The Capitalist Machine cares nothing for the contents of your underwear. It cares about your performance and there is no greater limiting factor on your performance than your IQ.

There is no glass ceiling. Women are where they are because that is where they deserve to be, and it's nobody's fault and it's not a conspiracy.

Rather than IQ I say it is a lack of a sense of humour that holds women back.

When I look at this graph it shows that the majority of women are below overage IQ.

That mean that most men are above avergae IQ. Man that is scary.

I think there is a glass class ceiling though. I have seen very smart women be held back because of not fitting into the boys club network. Less about capability, IQ and more about the perception of the social status amoungst those in power.

E.g. You don't want women with you on a footy trip, no matter how well she can play, not one's that know you... do you.

Lived in Japan for many years - a man's country for sure. Used to think it terrible the way women are kept down there and am still convinced that country would be far better off if women played a larger part in real decision making but after years of observing them I think Japanese women choose not to play a bigger part after looking at what shitty lives Japanese men have. If that is the case, who is the more intelligent really? And don't forget that Japanese men come home and give their entire paychecks to their wives who then turn around and dole out a small allowance to their hardworking husbands.

Hmmm. It's not that women are less intelligent than males - we think differently and more independently. We are also raised differently to our male counterparts in many cases and our aspirations aren't the same. IQ tests are often designed around physics/logistics which males tend to grasp more easily than females and this puts us at a disadvantage, but when it comes to general logic - females beat males hands down.

Males are also more prone to being psychopaths and we know psychopaths often excel in their chosen field. Men also tend to be very vulnerable when it comes to sex, which immediately puts them at a disadvantage because of their poor emotional skills and lack of physical self control. An attractive female can fell a powerful male very easily if she uses her tools properly.

Females also have a very strong instinct to have children and that often finishes off a career - usually because it's our choice.

There is a boys club - but few females clamour to be admitted to it.

I think it is well being established that the drive to power and economic success in the corporate world is motivated by more than mere intelligence, when considering gender discrepancies.

Seems to me that the advantages that pure intelligence and cooperation gives is concentrated in middle management. To get further, you need to be a bit of a bastard, really.

Yes there is a glass ceiling. The females who do end up shattering it make huge personal sacrifices and rarely get respected for their ambition.
