DARING dashes and flagrant flashes ... Just what’s the appeal of stripping off in front of a crowd and running out on to an open sportsfield?
In an era of sexting and naked selfies, it’s an act that could be seen as somewhat quaint.
A bird on the pitch. A budgie bouncing along the sidelines.
So, why do they still bother to do it?
The last people to ask are those who’ve done it.
They don’t know themselves.

“It seemed like a good idea at the time,” is the stock-standard, usually red-faced, reply.
Adrenaline?
Exhibitionism?
Rebellion?
Is it a sense of freedom? A liberating bounce? The wind in their ... hair?
Psychology doesn’t appear to have delved deeply into the raw motives behind the art of stripping down to one’s birthday suit and charging on to the sports field.
It’s not because psychologists are bashful: Sex is a front-and-centre subject for the couch-side profession. It’s probably just a reflection of it being generally regarded as harmless.
But the act does seem somewhat self-contradicto
this has kept Psychologists glued to their TV sets watching sport for years
and still they have no idea ..
why they do it!
has anyone actually ever met a streaker???...
its weird if someone ran down the main street naked everyone would scream....
yet if they do it across a sport field.. everyone laughs...
