Re: Cricket
it doesnt look like Warner thinks he has done much wrong....
the way he dismissed the press.. I thought rather arrogant....
he is after all being paid by the public if it wasnt for them he wouldnt have had a job..

I think it is taking up way too much press time.

Sponsorships are a bonus which normal people don't get and is far above and beyond a "normal" wage.... you do the deed you pay the price.
They will still be earning more than us mere mortals. For not playing...
That is a good job if you can get it.

Re: Cricket
oh come on, cut him some slack.
http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/c ... 19889.html.................... he was the first man since 1877 to debut for Australia before playing first-class cricket. His breathtaking 89 from 43 balls on debut against South Africa told the world of his talent, but few at the time expected him to become a key Test player as well.
His debut in the baggy green came, appropriately, in Test match No.2020, against New Zealand at the Gabba in 2011, and in his second match he achieved what Justin Langer and Matthew Hayden never did - he carried his bat through a Test innings. His unbeaten 123 in Hobart could not prevent a historic New Zealand win, but his patience in challenging conditions showed a different side to his batsmanship. Later in the same summer he made a very different kind of hundred, a 69-ball ton against India at the WACA that turned into a career-best 180. Over the next few years he became one of the most productive performers in Australia's Test order, and in 2014 he scored twin hundreds in the Cape Town Test against South Africa and then repeated the feat in Adelaide against India, in what was an especially emotional match as Australia returned to cricket following the death of Phillip Hughes..........................

Re: Cricket
at the end of the day he is well known for the sledging..and thats where it all starts...and aussies are good at dishing it out/..
and Sth Africa are good at playing the man...not nice but its how they are.. and how their fans are...
what happened in the 3rd test was avoidable...but the cricket hierarchy allowed it to fester...
it was all played out on a huge screen...it was all planned....
it doesnt matter what heroics warner has aspired too...what happened that day is what it comes down too..
and that goes for anybody in life....
those are the main rules....your past cant possibly wipe out what you do today....
even more so for our hero's on the field..its all recorded.
