Been watching the AustralianBC coverage all day.
Might just be me, but I'm finding it pretty biased towards Obama.
Especially Antony Green's count, where he has Obama 50 in front of Romney, when in the States they have only a handful separating them.
I much prefer, even on our election nights, when they don't speculate so much.

We might start a little later in the day, but our media still speculates before all the votes are counted. Fortunately we're not as intense here though for good reason. The whole world isn't watching us. American Presidents have so much power and Romney is chomping at the bit to make changes which will undoubtedly affect us too.

The GOP hasn't conceded yet even though the networks have called it.

The Romney Team hasn't given up on Ohio. They are not conceding the state.

Obama has officially won, all the US networks have called it, and he now has well over the 270 electoral votes required to win.

There are a couple battleground states still out, but Romney cannot catch up now. And Obama has indeed won Ohio.

Not sure whether my American pals will be thrilled with Obama getting re-elected. Still, nothing they can do about it. I did wonder about Romney being a Mormon. That wouldn't have gone down well in Australia. No idea what Yanks think about Mormons ... it is a religion created in the States.
