The fur lobby and animal rights people have done more to kill off legitimate gun use in Australia than gun laws.

How ridiculous is it to protest about people wearing the fur of a noxious pest?

The problem is that many people cannot differentiate between noxious pests and anything that moves.

Fox shooting was on the way out, before gun control legislation came in. The "fur is murder" brigade had killed off demand for the skins. They ended up just being shot by landholders, largely, and left to rot.

I loved spotlighting for foxes. Great fun. That was more challenging. I mean you had to really know your eye colours in the reflected light. Got to distinguish one animal from the other just by the colour of the eyes.

used to get paid a little for a nice clean and dry pelt. I remember when the bottom feel out of the market. It was around 1980 or so. No-one wanted them anymore.

American terrorist given a handgun as a gift, for his 21st.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with nine counts of murder for an attack on a historic black South Carolina church, local police say.

Dylann Roof was arrested, after a 14-hour manhunt, 300 kilometres from the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where the shooting rampage occurred.

Roof, who an uncle said received a gun as a 21st birthday present in April and whose social media profile suggested a fascination with white supremacy, waived his right to extradition and was flown back to South Carolina hours later.

The shooter ^^^ is a domestic terrorist. Yet. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who went all out to have the surviving criminal behind the Boston Marathon bombing treated as "enemy combatant" (Muslim terrorist), said the shooter is just "one of these whacked out kids."
