The castor oil plant. IF it is so dangerous to humans why does that person hate so much he has to create the stuff and send a few grains to the Mayor? Doesn't he own a gun?

Re: Choosing a Gun
Presumably he owns a gun... but to get at the mayor, he'd have to get past others with guns. No fun in that.

The NRA, for the first time, is encountering gun control advocates with Big Money and Deep Pockets and they don't know what to do.

Re: Choosing a Gun
That bit of news about the toddler shooting his Mother at Walmart(?) is amazing.
I was equally amazed that it was reported that the 2 year old kid was being interviewed in case the act was deliberate! For fuck sake. A toddler grabs a LOADED gun out of his Mother's handbag, points it at her and shoots? How? Why? Because she refused him putting lollies in the trolley. Beat up, bull shit, crap.
Oh, were they African Americans or Hispanics?![Big grin :bgrin](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

American's will never have a rational coherent debate about gun control, not while the gun lobby exist's and laws that may exact change are still rooted in a constitution which has ceased to be relevant in this day and age etc.

Welcome to PA.
Where are you coming from on this issue? Are you a shooter, a farmer or just annoyed with the American Gun Lobby?
Re: Choosing a Gun
I am an ex shooter, no money in it now. The gun Lobby has everyone baffled and scratching their head's I would think. Yeah nice to be here, thank's.

Re: Choosing a Gun
I am an ex-shooter... foxes, rabbits, pigs ...etc.
I gave it up when I realised it's not sport to hunt wild animals with a gun. They have no chance. Expects for the feral animals like pigs, the native animals have a right to live nearly as much as I do. if I am not hunting for food for survival... live and let live.
So I gave away my rifles and have not killed anything with a gun for 20 years.
Unless I have a reason to kill... I don't anymore.
Amercians constitution right to bear arms was born out of fear of the English. A valid strategy really. There are no many guns and armed individuals in the US no-one can ever invade and stand a hope in hell of winning. So in terms of preserving their nation... it's a winner.
In terms of what it has done to their society.... well that is questionable.
have you ever noticed how over polite individual americans are. I mean they are nice people. I often wonder is it because you never know what would happen if you offend....with anyone being a potential owner of the great equalizer.
