if you watch the games it demonstrates how bloody good these guys are. Defense is a big part of the game.

Like everything though, sometimes you need to have played it to appreciate how good they are and appreciate the game.

i am not big into soccer but the FIFA world cup games are worth the watch and hell it is only once every 4 years.

Love rugby and the Rugby world cup games are just bloody brilliant. The standard of players and play are very high.

I like international sports.
Rugby union is my favourite & soccer comes next.
It takes far more skill than most people realise to play soccer.

Shame for Croatia. Bugger the French.
Orchid,
the French are the best at everything - didn't you know that?
The best wine - the best cheese - you name it.
France is the greatest tourist destination in the world.
They get 70 million tourists per year -
more than their population.
The Eiffel Tower is the most visited tourist destination in the world.
I'm biased though as I speak French reasonably well.
I stayed/lived in Paris for 3 months back in 80s.
I went back a few times as well.

France did not deserve to win. Their play was mediocre. The same as like two years ago. There was just not a way they were going to allow a small Balkan country to become a champion.

I won't forget how Payet injured C. Ronaldo in the beginning of the final match with Portugal in 2016. A very dirty and sleazy trick typical for only backward Third Worlders. Karma got to them and Portugal won by 1:0.

And that, that's not the national team of France. That's more of the national team of Sierra Leone:

Pathetic.

2 things ruining the world of Soccer apart from the cheating coaches and players...

FIFA... who runs FIFA?
The Referees... poor refereeing globally.

Exactly. Thank you. And all the FIFA bosses got busted numerous times for sleeping with minors. Including Berlusconi.

Bulgaria against Italy, 1994. We had the chance of winning and going to the finals. We got cut hard because of a French referee. Bulgaria finished above France in the qualifiers and France was below by one point and didn't go to the World Cup. Bulgaria won the match against France. That's why they didn't qualify. But they got their revenge all right.

Just watch the whole match and you'll see truth.
