As I said Football is very much like Chess.

Each player like a piece on a chess board is specialized and because NFL Players play at 100% on every play the clock stops if there is an incomplete pass or if a player runs out of bounds when there is 5 min left at the end of the 4th quarter.

There are literally 1000's upon 1000's of plays in a Game Play Book and a player must be highly intelligent to memorize them all.

NFL Football Players are massive and not only have world class speed but incredible strength as many are between 6 foot 6 and 6 foot 11 inches weighing in between 260 to 400 lbs with lightning fast speed and if they did not wear helmets and pads there would be at least one death per game.

An NFL game that starts at 1 pm is usually over by 4:15 to 4:30 and we American's LOVE the breaks and the commercial times as it gives US time to guess what strategy will be used next and what players and plays will be called.

Football is NOT like Soccer where basically 2 groups of guys are kicking a round ball all over the place hoping to hell they don't go off sides and of course there is the.....EVERYONE SHUDDER.....the.....EXCITEMENT....all 1 second of it of a CORNER KICK!! LOL!!

Thing is soccer is popular around the world because all it takes is a damn ball and a few rocks to mark the goal line and a bunch of kids can play.

Football is a massively complex sport with many rules and plays which takes YEARS of study to truly understand them just like chess apposed to CHECKERS.
