So we all forget that Russia started this by invading a sovereign country. So it is OK then. For peace we have to let Russia win territory. Got it.

You're right SN.
Russia will get what it's managed to get.
But it's better than getting all of Ukraine.
Finland lost 10% but is still fine.
...maybe, if Russia was under attack from China, Ukraine and Finland might get their bits back by force or by bargain??

My thoughts?
It's the nukes that stopped Biden putting in a no-fly zone
and shooting down any Russian planes over Ukraine.
It's the nukes that stopped a massive 1991 Gulf war type response.
At one stage Biden was too scared to supply 40 odd tanks to Ukraine.
Ukraine still doesn't have a proper air force.
Ukraine was nobbled right from the start in 2022 by Biden.
Zelensky should have realised that he was only ever going to be given
just enough weapons to cause a stalemate and a huge loss of life,
over a long period of time in attritional warfare.
He should have told Biden in 2022 -
"you either give us what we really need or we'll surrender and Russia will
be right on the border of NATO – and you'll have to fight them – not us."

Not all forgot that this narrative came from fake news media and that war in Ukraine started in 2014 and it was not started by Russia in 2022 when Kievan regime broke Minsk 2 peace agreement. So we all forget that Russia started this by invading a sovereign country. So it is OK then. For peace we have to let Russia win territory.
China will attack or not Russia after China take full control over Australia so they can fight Russia to the last Australian just like US Dems and Eurogays fight Russia to the last Ukrainian.if Russia was under attack from China, Ukraine and Finland might get their bits back by force or by bargain

Re: Ukraine was all about rare earth minerals
I think this explains the minerals deal and the Ukraine situation -
it's Realpolitik.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realpolitik
Realpolitik
from German real 'realistic, practical, actual' and Politik 'politics')
is the approach of conducting diplomatic or political policies based primarily on considerations of given circumstances and factors, rather than strictly following ideological, moral, or ethical premises.
[1][2] In this respect, it shares aspects of its philosophical approach with those of realism and pragmatism.[3][4]
While generally used as a positive or neutral term, Realpolitik has been also used pejoratively to imply political policies that are perceived as being coercive, amoral, or Machiavellian.[5] Prominent proponents of Realpolitik include Otto von Bismarck, Henry Kissinger, George H.W. Bush, George F. Kennan, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Deng Xiaoping, Charles de Gaulle, and Lee Kuan Yew.[6] The opposite of Realpolitik is Idealpolitik.

He talked about Greenland today.
It looks like the major powers are going to carve up the world:
Trump gets Greenland and Panama,
Putin gets Ukraine,
Xi Jinping gets Taiwan.

Re: Ukraine was all about rare earth minerals
As Washington ramps up its pressure on Zelenskyy to step aside, his rivals are talking to Trump’s team.
Four senior members of Donald Trump’s entourage have held secret discussions with some of Kyiv’s top political opponents to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, just as Washington aligns with Moscow in seeking to lever the Ukrainian president out of his job.
The senior Trump allies held talks with Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, a remorselessly ambitious former prime minister, and senior members of the party of Petro Poroshenko, Zelenskyy’s immediate predecessor as president, according to three Ukrainian parliamentarians and a U.S. Republican foreign policy expert.
