I think the war will end with Russia keeping the bits of Ukraine it wanted. Just like it got from Finland

From Finland Soviets got neutrality for many years and that is what Russia wants from Ukraine.

Well that's interesting.
Considering America selled NATO to Ukraine in its aggressive expansionism after 2000. Which of course went against the Gorbachev Reagan agreement

There are currently no grounds for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told Izvestia.

They're both probably waiting to see what Trump's move is with them, when he's got the time. I believe Putin sees the Republicans less of a threat, than the Democrats. I don't think Putin will take an aggressive attitude to Trump, unlike Harris who he hoped would be the easier opponent.
