Also, I don’t know how it’s in Australia, but in America there’s Elementary school, Middle school, and High school. Students have to constantly change schools and classmates.
And here’s your typical high school classroom in New York or any other city. How mass shooters are created, where - here:
What's your theory on "HOW" these kids are turned into "mass shooters"?
Here's a theory. Until the 90s, corporal punishment was allowed in the schools. Our high school vice principle had a plexiglass paddle with several large holes drilled into it. Swinging it made a whistling noise and let you know it was about to be painful. They always gave us the option of swats or staying after school in detention. If I stayed late, my parents would find out and they would beat my butt for misbehaving, so I took it at school.
There is no discipline in schools now and many parents defend their kids when they get in trouble at school. My brother teaches in high school and I don't see how he does it. He is lucky enough to teach an elective that the slackers won't take, so he has pretty decent students for the most part.(accounting, business software) This lack of discipline frees the kids up to waste time and money and cause problems with students. This "bullying" causes people to lash out when they've had enough abuse. Anyway, that's my theory. Lack of discipline.
Since I left public schools, 1985, the Federal Government has crept in and taken more control of school function. They are turning it into childcare centers and propaganda centers. Parents have to supplement and undo propaganda. My kid's school system is still pretty good and I've had good results, but Dallas county is a mess, unless you can afford to put your kids into private schools.
I was in a private school for my last 3 years in high. I would say it’s the same at best, if not even worse. My classmates were so spoiled, kids of important people, and btw important fact - I never smoked before, but I started smoking because of the bloke who sat next to me. And I still smoke, up to this day. He taught me how to smoke by basically peer pressuring the fuck out of me. He, and girls of course - smoke, smoking’s fucking cool. If I had kids, I would just homeschool them.
About discipline, I agree, that lacks, even here. Bullying is a prominent marker of the 21st century. But I’m not an advocate of any type of violence directed towards children. Not at school, not at home. USA, USSR, Bulgaria, obviously it was allowed to spank them before. I don’t know, maybe it worked, I can’t say, didn’t live in that time. Me instead, I would prefer respect and smooth talk, but there’s no such thing as smooth talk these days, only trash talk with today’s youth.
But yeah, bullying happens here. That’s not the reason. I think the separation and distance and the whole individualism - is the main reason. How society works in the US. You can’t just walk up to a girl in the Mall and flirt her out, walk her out, someone will just buzz the po-po and they’ll charge you with sexual harassment.
Another thing, here, after some business deal, or after some important event, you often get invited in someone’s home, to be his guest. And you eat and drink basically 12+ hours. That’s not typical for the US. You won’t sit and drink and eat for 12 straight hours on a Monday day or whatever. After a real estate deal, Russian clients would often invite me and we would drink vodka until 5 in the morning. The only event - the typical, average, I say average, of course not all, but the average American, will attend - is some plain baseball game or rugby. Maybe watch a rodeo and eat some corn cobs and mindlessly yell like idiot.
In most of the cities there are no sidewalks, or they’re just just not positioned in a normal manner. Neighbors will often call the cops on you if you’re “walking without a reason”… There’s that. Walking without a reason. Here it’s called walking and chilling and maybe socializing, there - loitering. I mean…
Most of the Americans marry their high school crushes, which shows how deprived of social contacts and how fearful teens are. To marry the first girl you fucked - you must be either super afraid that you won’t find another, really dumb, or just brainwashed. Or all of these. To marry the first, without you even having enough experience, just dumb.
I know that became too long, but what I’m saying is that’s a complex problem. Not a single thing. There’s so many other things I didn’t even mention.
But the one thing that’s not a reason for school shootings - is guns. That’s not the reason. They can just get a knife and knife a bunch of people. That’s a classical false flag. Guns are not the problem. That’s why the morons from the other Australian forum kicked me out. I’m a serious gun advocate and they hate guns. Everything I have listed is a precursor for this to start happening. Society in America is put to stress from years ago.
Look at how easy pills are advertised. Oxy, Xanax, Vicodin - a ton of celebrities overdosed on these three alone. I’ve never heard of these 5 yrs ago, we don’t have them here. And here psychiatrists are not seen anywhere. You can’t go to a psychiatrist, even a psychologist. There are none. Sleeping pills and antidepressants are not easy to get, and I personally do not know anyone around me - who has taken such.
