While I do have American friends I can only greatly speak from my own personal experience. Bulgaria took around 5,000 Syrians during the first wave, the first Balkan route. They decided to stay here and not leave for the West.
I knew what was gonna happen, and it did. They isolated themselves and formed ghettos on Ovcha Kupel suburb, Sofia. Ovcha Kupel is a big borough and only native Bulgarians lived there peacefully before the invaders came.
Now 3 years later, Ovcha Kupel is a dumpster with a lot of gang and drug activity.

These are all men in fighting age. No women and children. A woman was killed near a gas station by a knife attack last year. She went to buy cigarettes alone at night. She was stabbed to death by a Syrian because she and I quote: "didn't give him free sex".

When Hungary got invaded, they brought back the border crossings between the Hungary-Austrian border. Now for those of you that don't know, the border from Hungary to Austria was Shengen area. When I traveled for business I didn't lose time on waiting long queues. Now I have to. The border is closed.
For all these years, there was just a sign "You're in Austria now". Just a highway. And you're in Austria. No tolls, checkpoints, no nothing. Now, you need to wait for the millions of cars and trucks.
This highly affected me.

I'd say he's about right. Gang members stay to control fully and make the country even a bigger dumpster. Women, they go later. The Moslems usually call their Moslemas a couple of years later and do the whole Harem thing in the West.
