I personally know a true war hero from the Vietnam war with one of the highest medals awarded here. Ironic, considering he also disobeyed orders to be that real hero.
As for me? I think you're pissing in my pocket Bobby.

You were in a war zone -
a Russian missile could have landed on your head at any moment.
I wouldn't have gone there.

That is interesting, Jasin. Did you go there before, during or after the Maidan and which part of it, west, east or center?

I would definitely not have gone while the capital was under direct attack. When I was there, the 'front' was far away thank god. I worked in and around the Capital which is slowly being repaired. My purpose was to report on future investment and activity as a potential 'after the war' and for two Companies, wether it was worth still being active there. I gave them all a green light beyond Russia just nuking the joint. That decision I left up to them because it was such a dark horse on anyone's race. Kyiv will revitalise, the signs are there and the war is on the downturn regardless if Ukraine get the disputed territories back or not (like what happened to Finland in the Winter War... which is what Russia will get to keep for awhile, in my view - to bring an end to the current stoush). Once the war is dusted. Ukraine will resurge and there were quite a few like me there, for Foreign Company and Industry interests to capitalise on the new niches after the War. First in, best dressed. There is a hell of a lot of FREE LAND now, as previous owners were probably killed by the war. Only occasionally, could I hear bombardment in the far distance.

An attack could have happened at any second.
You're a hero.

Amazing news.

Putin will allow the US to mine minerals in the captured territories.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gdx7488g5o

Putin offers Russian and Ukrainian rare minerals to US

Putin said he was ready to "offer" resources to American partners in joint projects, including mining in Russia's "new territories" – a reference to parts of eastern Ukraine that Russia has occupied since launching a full-scale invasion three years ago.

(The article doesn't say if Russia would also want a cut of the mining money.
Well - Trump and Putin have effectively divided up the goodies in Ukraine ready to plunder.)

Trump sounds like a gangster -

'it's a nice country you've got here -
it would be a pity if missiles were fired into it.'
