They have a right to go to the White House.
They pay for it.
They pay for it.

Breaking through police barriers? Take a look at this. It looks like the police were ushering them in and did they steal big screen tv's and burn and loot?Redneck wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:17 pmDoes that include invade it when access is closed by breaking through police barriers?sprintcyclist wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:06 pmThey have a right to go to the White House.

Just to be clear it was not the White House that was stormed. It was the Capitol building.

How can a cop ushering crowds through the gate be taken out of context?Redneck wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 7:37 pmA picture shown out of context means nothing wanker!Black Orchid wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 6:07 pmBreaking through police barriers? Re: Trump supporters storm the white house
I left for a bit, and some stuff has happened inbetween that I should address.
1. I got a response to my name saying that what the President said was a 'verbal gaffe' that tehy inferred should not be taken too seriously. if this is true, than 90% of this board's criticisms of Biden should also be excused. If you believe that perhaps Trump has less Gaffes than Biden, a simple google search of 'Trump Gaffes' or the like should hopefully set that frankly incorrect opinion straight. If you're going to be angry that an old coot who can't speak properly is going to be in the white house, than you have to be just as mad at the one that's already there
Secondly on this matter, this wasn't a small gaffe. 9/11 is rooted in the public consious and mixing it up with a convenince store in the same breath you try to praise first responders is hard to conceptualise. Especially when you combine it with a lie saying you were down there with them, or that you sent people to help, or that you watched arabs cheer as the buildings fell, none of which there is any evidence for.

It is especially despicable when just hours after the attacks happened, you falsely claim that you now own the tallest building in the city, of which there certainly is a record of:

2. There's some interesting talk on this matter regarding the actions of police. Firstly, it is false to say police did not put up any resistance, because they did. One woman with the protestors and one police officer are now dead. But you keep talking about how 'blue lives matter'. However, It does certainly appear that police were less aggressive in this matter than they have been with others. But do you seriously belive that is a good thing? Police taking selfies with "protestors" (see: terrorists)? or what about Senator's having to run and hide? maybe you haven't considered the national security risk posed by the documents and emails of senators these people gained access to?
If this really were Antifa, as some of you seem to half-heartedly claim, you would be outraged. But you don't care about the truth, you don't care about the facts behind the matter, you only care about being on the winning team. It's disgusting.
Police rolled out everything they had for the George Floyd riots. Tear gas, rubber bullets, soldiers at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial. Where the fuck were they when rioters (who contrary to what you might say, did loot the building, bring in pipe bombs, weapons, etc.) were in the entire nations secondf most important building in governance? I don't know. Trump was pretty effective at dispersing non-violent protestors so he could pose holding a Bible upside-down, but it doesn't matter that those protestor's were non-violent, they weren't on his team.

That's the key point of contension here as I see it in both of these issues. Nobody cares what is right or wrong, only that their team is always right. If you are going to call yourself a supporter of the 'law and order' president, maybe you should be concerned when he doesnt bring law or order. Or when he directly condemns one side's violence, but when asked to condemn the other, he instead tells them to 'stand back and stand by’. In his original response video, Trump called the rioters at the capital 'patriots' and said that he 'loved them'. That isn't what he promised you, that's open acceptance of violence and anarchy.
Of course, recently Donald conceded defeat in the election, finally condemned white supremacy properly, and called the violence what it was: 'lawlessness'. While he still lied by saying he 'immediately' deployed the national guard, a bold faced lie, perhaps we've moved through the worst of this. Or, maybe it'll continue on well into the Biden presidency. who knows, that depends on people like you Black Orchid, SprintCyclist, and Redneck, not giving into bullshit conspiracy and accepting obvious truths, even if they don't support your team's objectives.

Re: Trump supporters storm the white house
1. Firstly, I have not seen anyone say it was a "verbal gaffe" so I'm not running down that rabbit hole. I don't read every post so I could well have missed it but perhaps you can address that comment directly to whomever you think said it. It wasn't a "verbal gaffe" Trump is scorching the earth on his way out and, to be honest, I don't blame him.
2. No-one has said it was all Antifa but Antifa certainly infiltrated the group. It's not hard to incite a large crowd no matter how peaceful their intent may be. Many Antifa are being identified now. John Sullivan is one such infiltrator who was inside the Capitol building. He's the founder of Insurgence USA, a BLM activist and he has a history of organising violent leftist protests. He was standing right next to the woman who was shot. Photos abound.
People do care what is right or wrong but what I find astoundingly hypocritical is the way your side turns a blind eye to the past 4 years of calls to violence by many Democratic officials. That's apparently ok but when there is push-back (which was always going to be inevitable) you hide behind your blinkers with your faux outrage.
Seattle, Michigan, Portland are still the epicentres of extreme violence, burning and looting by the left nightly a year on and it is being ignored by the MSM. They control the narrative and you swallow it like a subservient little dolt.
I strongly condemn violence from all sides but you and your ilk have been silent this past year while cities were destroyed and livelihoods lost. You are hypocritical to the enth. Where were you with your faux outrage these past 4 years when Democrats like Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Ted Lieu, James Clapper, Cory Booker, Eric Holder, Joachin Castro etc have been calling for and endorsing violence against Trump supporters? In your dark little cave in mummy's basement?
If you want to try to take the high road at least try to be consistent.
